After having the good fortune of catching a glimpse of a nesting robin, I committed
this tender sight to my memory bank. I dip into my vast collection of memories regularly
when I am creating images.. Nothing, absolutely nothing, takes the place of seeing something
with your own eyes, therefore, I never reference photos while working since any information
gleaned from them is substandard. Photography is an art unto itself, but photos have
no place in an artist's studio if producing images with life and meaning is the goal.
