As I walked through my garden,
I found I was not alone.
Before me stood a figure
appearing as from a dream.
In her basket I saw flowers
that were, in fact, our prayers.
Observing the prayers rising,
ever rising,
I fell to my knees to cry
tears of jubilation,
upon witnessing 
this holy grace received.

"Sisters From Butterfly Abbey"

 
                                                                            After tending the sick
                                                                            and helping the blind,
                                                                            the butterfly sisters
                                                                            retreated
                                                                            to the dark edge 
                                                                            of the forest
                                                                            to break bread
                                                                            with the pine moths.
                                                                            Upon hearing the bells  
                                                                            chime for evening prayers,
                                                                            the sisters
                                                                            followed 
                                                                            a whispering path of shadows
                                                                            back to the abbey
                                                                            where
                                                                            they hurried, with bowed heads,
                                                                            into the chapel.

 

"Evermore"

Within the vortex of prayer,
hammer on anvil,
sparks
of bright hope 
leap
from our hearts.
 

 

"A Night in the Forest"

                                                                      Sleep
                                                                      as autumn leaves tumble
                                                                      from frosted bare branches
 
                                                                      Sleep
                                                                      as night winds breathe rumours
                                                                      of polar height shivers
 
                                                                      and
 
                                                                      Dream
                                                                      in peace knowing
                                                                      that angels are with you.
